Hello my fellow Americans. I am Arika Guzman, and I humbly accept this presidential nomination on behalf of the Green Party. I am here to show you all the rad opportunities I can provide for this nation. You need a leader who understands that we are stronger when we work as a whole, and knows how to spend our nation's money on beneficial things rather than falling deeper into debt by building a wall across the southern borders of this country.
If I am elected to be your president, I can guarantee your right to work through a full employment program that will create over 25 million jobs. It will be maintained by national funding but controlled locally to keep a safe environment for our civilians. With this will come the right to an equal living wage, a secure work space, fair trade and the power to organize a union without the fear of losing your job. Along with this, all citizens have the right to quality health care.
In order to present a good career opportunity, the government will provide assistance to the states and schools in an effort to supplement superior education from pre-school to college. Due to the current era of unaffordable college education, student loan debt will be forgiven under my leadership and undergraduates will be supported from federal funding to be given a safe home to live in or dorm. With regards to housing, everyone will be guaranteed access to necessary utilities including heat, electricity, phone, internet, and public transportation, while democratically run, publicly owned utilities operate at cost, not for profit. Paying regards to annual income, appropriate taxation will be placed.
We will be enforcing the Green Transaction Act where we will emphasize small local businesses over large corporations. As well as taking out all the environmental industries that have been destroying what Mother Nature has created and replacing them with green research with sustainable, and nontoxic materials that will eliminate waste and pollution from our world. To encourage this we will promote jobs that contribute to sustainable energy for the success of the Green Transaction.
We plan to help anyone in need by using the Real Financial Reform where if you are in debt we will get you out. We will spread the wealth throughout the nation, and taking it out of the privately owned federal reserves and placing it under a Monetary Authority within the Treasury Department. As well, we plan to utilize smaller banks over large federal corporations to help regulate all financial derivatives and require them to be traded on open exchanges. With this we will build a financial system that is open, honest, stable, and serves the real economy rather than the phony economy of high finance.
Finally, we will be functioning a democracy to help put emphasis on common business man over being controlled by the wealthy. To protect our right to vote by supporting Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr.'s proposed "Right to Vote Amendment," to clarify to the Supreme Court that yes, we do have a constitutional right to vote. We will give everyone the equal right to vote and utilize the peoples choice over the electoral college which establishes what a true democracy represents.
We can create a corporation for Economic Democracy if needed, which will be a new federal corporation to provide publicity, training, education, and direct financing for cooperative development and for democratic reforms to make government agencies, private associations, and business enterprises more participatory. This will strengthen our media democracy by expanding federal support for locally-owned broadcast media and local print media. This will protect our personal liberty and freedoms from being invaded and maintain a secure community to put in only what is necessary to what we need in the military. This includes cutting spending by 50 percent and, restoring the national guard as a centerpiece of our national defense and creating a new round of nuclear disarmament initiatives.
